NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Head Coach Bobby Johnson believes the 2010 Vanderbilt signing class is the most talented his staff has attracted to the Nashville campus.

The 24-player commitment list is one shy of the most in Johnson’s Vanderbilt tenure. It features 11 offensive targets, 12 defensive prospects and one kicker.

“Our staff thinks this is a deep and talented class who will continue to improve our program,” Johnson said. “I’m very pleased with who we signed, and how we successfully addressed certain position needs. This signing class continues to add outstanding athletes to our football team.”

The class is also regarded as Johnson’s finest at Vanderbilt, according to several national services. Two prominent outlets, Rivals.com and Scout.com, list a majority of the hopefuls as 3-star prospects, with one signee earning a 4-star grade.

The class includes five defensive secondary candidates, and four prospects for the defensive line, offensive line and wide receiving corps.
