The class consists of 11 athletes from South Carolina schools, including the Lowcountry’s Burke, Fort Dorchester, Summerville and Stratford high schools. The remaining 13 athletes represent the states of Alabama (2) Florida (4), Georgia (2), Ohio (1), Pennsylvania (2), Tennessee (1), and Virginia (1).
Among the players are three quarterbacks, including Charleston’s Del’Javon Simmons, four running backs and three offensive linemen. On defense, the Bulldogs have signed five linebackers, five defensive backs and three defensive linemen. A kicker from Summerville is also included in the class.
“There is no question this is our deepest and most talented class during our five year tenure,†Higgins said. “We met our needs at every position. Since last signing day we had more recruits on campus for junior day, camps and home games than ever before. I know our facility enhancements and the completion of the stadium made a difference in the hearts of our recruits. Also, recruits appreciated the passion and vision provided by General Rosa and faculty during their recruiting trip.â€
