Texas A&M University-Kingsville head football coach Bo Atterberry resigned on Friday after six seasons at the helm for the Javelinas. During his tenure at TAMU-Kingsville, Atterberry compiled a 41-28 record, thanks in part to four straight winning seasons.
The Javelinas finished in third place in the Lone Star Conference in 2012, and he was named the conference’s co-Coach of the Year.
Among Atterberry’s most impressive accomplishments were a Lone Star Conference Championship in 2009 and a 10-win season the following year, which was the school’s first 10-win campaign in over two decades.
According to D2Football.com, Texas A&M University-Kingsville will announce David Calloway as the new head coach. After spending six seasons as defensive coordinator at Kingsville, it will be Calloway’s first head coaching position in the collegiate ranks.
